    Indigenous Media Mentoring program (IMMP)

     IMMP is pleased to announce the next two day program will be 9 & 10 April 2025. The IMMP provides training to competitively selected Indigenous scientists and researchers, giving them the skills and the confidence to engage with media. Media exposure can positively impact careers, enable participation in national debate, and position participants as role models to promote STEM.

  • Nulungu Research Institute

    The Aboriginal Research Methodology Course

    The Nulungu Research Institute has been delivering the Aboriginal Research Methodology Course since 2017. The course consist of two stages:

    ‘Stage One: Introduction to Aboriginal Research Methodology for Aboriginal People’. The program aims to give Aboriginal people an insight into how research can be undertaken. It incorporates community stories and lived experiences to increase participants understanding of how to do research,  from a respectful, and ethically correct, Aboriginal perspective.

    • ‘Stage Two: Aboriginal Research Methods for Aboriginal People’. This stage builds on the learnings of Stage One. It is also open to those who have prior experience in Aboriginal Research/Projects. The course provides the opportunity through 'Talking/Yarning Circles' to explore discuss and debate the impacts of colonisation on Aboriginal communities, leadership and governance.

    The course involves workshops and lectures over three consecutive days.

    Stage One: 8 - 10 October 2024
    Stage Two: 5 - 7 November 2024
