Health Research Experience Scholarships

An important initiative of OCHRe is to develop the next generation of Indigenous health researchers, and we are excited to announce the relaunch of the Health Research Experience Scholarships as part of our OCHRe NEXGEN Hub. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks for the valuable feedback which has been provided. We greatly appreciate the observations, expressions of interest, and thoughtful suggestions for improvement.

For this round, NEXGEN Hub will offer 12 Health Research Experience Scholarships (Scholarships) of $4,000 each. The Scholarships provide access to health research experience for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders enrolled in an undergraduate degree or a masters by degree by course work, to work on a defined aspect of research.

The offer will be offered exclusively to all OCHRe investigators listed on the NHMRC application 2005944 https://www.ochrenetwork.org/investigators

An interested OCHRe Investigator will develop project-based learning activities (activities) which align with the vision of OCHRe that aims to build the capacity and capability of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander undergraduate students. Investigators whose applications are successful will, in turn, select a student they will Supervise for the duration of the project.
