OCHRe bursaries for Lowitja Institute’s online course

Lowitja Institute is pleased to let you know that OCHRe bursaries for online learning are now available. The bursaries are for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individual Members (or pending Members) of Lowitja Institute and the OCHRe Network to access up to three online learning courses at no cost.

To access your bursary, use your special access code: OCHRe24 to ‘purchase’ up to three online courses via Lowitja Institute’s online learning and development hub.

The Lowitja Institute courses on offer are:

·       Introduction to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research

·       Introduction to Indigenous Knowledge Translation

·       Introduction to Evaluation in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Contexts

·       Indigenous Data Sovereignty online course

MRFF 2024 Clinical Trials Activity Grant Opportunity GO7146

The objective of this grant opportunity is to provide grants of financial assistance to support medical research and medical innovation projects in clinical trials. There are four stream in this offer ranging from pilot studies (stream 1) to implementation science trial (stream 4).

Forecast Opportunity View| Partnerships for Cancer Research

Program Name |Improving First Nations Cancer Outcomes

The Partnerships for Cancer Research grant program will invest $9,600,000 over three years to strengthen cancer research to improve the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and to build the capacity of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cancer research sector. 

Estimated Grant Value (AUD) Each research partnership can apply for a grant between $800,000 to $2,500,000 over a maximum 3-year grant period commencing in June 2025. Up to 12 grants will be awarded.

Integrated Multidisciplinary Models of Primary Care Grant Opportunity GO7154

This Grant Opportunity will support medical research and medical innovation projects that evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of new or existing models of integrated, multidisciplinary team-based primary care for people who would most benefit from this type of care, including but not limited to First Nations Australians, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with disability including intellectual, children, older populations (either in residential aged care homes or those ageing at home), or those with social disadvantage or multiple chronic conditions.

National Science Week Grants 2025 GO7026

National Science Week is Australia’s major national celebration of the sciences, occurring in August each year. National Science Week will be held from 9 to 17 August 2025. National Science Week provides the opportunity for community participation in high profile science engagement activities across the nation.
